Amazon Cloud: more than 200 cloud computing applications
Are your applications located in the Amazon Cloud? Then the possibilities for a flawless IT infrastructure are endless. Amazon is both the oldest and largest cloud provider, offering over 200 cloud application services. Almost all the advanced technologies offered by the cloud computing industry are within your grasp. So, what AWS applications are more commonly used, and how do they align with varied business IT needs?
Available in seconds
Whether your organization needs IT services to support critical operations, or it uses applications that must quickly process large amounts of data; AWS, Amazon's cloud platform, provides fast, flexible cloud computing services - for any business.
A key benefit of cloud computing is the capacity to replace large-scale IT infrastructure costs with low variable costs, which scale with the organization. With Amazon Cloud, companies don’t have to purchase expensive servers, hardware and other IT infrastructure weeks or months in advance. Instead, they can create hundreds or thousands of servers within minutes.
More than 200 AWS application services are available including compute, file storage, database, IoT and security. All services are on-demand, available within seconds and on a pay-as-you-go basis. This enables organizations, both large and small, to implement the fundamental IT setup they require, without initial capital costs.

Amazon S3
At the top of the "most popular AWS services" list is Amazon S3, the Simple Storage Service. Amazon S3 provides the ability to store and retrieve data from the cloud in a simple, secure, and scalable manner. Users can store, upload, or retrieve files up to 5 TB. They can also control the public or private accessibility of data.
Amazon EC2
Another well-known application is Amazon EC2, which offers scalable computing power in the Amazon Cloud. Amazon EC2 (short for Elastic Compute Cloud) lets you develop and deploy applications quickly and effectively at low cost. Users can, for example, make software (such as various enterprise-level web applications) available on an on-demand basis.
Amazon RDS
The Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) is designed to make IT infrastructure more user-friendly. By using this AWS application, you can make configuration, management and scaling of databases easy. It’s available on several database instances, optimized for performance and memory. It also offers six well-known database engines: Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle Database and SQL server. Using the AWS Database Migration Service makes it easy to migrate or replicate existing databases to Amazon RDS.
Amazon Lambda
Amazon Lambda is another important application of Amazon Cloud. It allows the user to execute code without setting up or managing servers. This application executes code only as users need it. It also scales automatically, and users only pay for compute time. Amazon Lambda supports code written in Node.js, Java, Python and languages supported by Amazon Linux.
Amazon CloudFront
The Amazon CloudFront application helps to improve website speed and access to cloud-based data. It works as a Global Content Delivery Service (CDN), delivering content to users efficiently. CloudFront is connected to Amazon Cloud's global infrastructure and can be seamlessly integrated with other AWS application applications.
AWS CloudFormation
AWS CloudFormation is the starting point for all your cloud operations. It is where your developers can create, deploy, and manage processes and services on a reliable, predictable, and repeatable scale. As Delivery Partner, Sentia helps successfully provision resources and design templates to ensure optimal functionality of all AWS operations.
