Azure Solution Architect

For our strategic customers we are looking for an Azure Solutions Architect. This architect will act as a primary point of contact and will be responsible for the coherence between all ongoing projects, production environments and the intake of new projects for the team.

Sentia has a large group of appealing customers. We build up a close relationship with these customers, resulting in a 100% outsourcing recommendation score according to Giarte. Sentia's goal is to grow with our existing customers for the coming years. In addition, we would like to add new appealing customers to the Sentia family, and for that we need you! For our customers we design, manage and operate their IT environment and supporting infrastructure on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and our Sentia Cloud.

Your role will mainly focus on the Azure stack. You will not only 'lead the way' with our customers, but also execute the implementation

Activities

Together with the project manager and the customer you will ensure a good architecture. You help the client to make choices for the implementations. Because of your knowledge you know what choices have consequences and what conditions must be met for a successful implementation.

"Follow my lead" is not only written on your Sentian Sweater, you make it true like no other. You take the customer through the entire process so that the process runs as smoothly as possible.

The Team

You work from the Netherlands mainly for Dutch end customers but you are part of the Customer team of Sentia. You are the pivot between the customer team and consulting. The Customer team in the Netherlands consists of 6 Customer Teams and in total you will have over 120 colleagues within Customer Teams and 630+ colleagues across Sentia! You will be working in team Green, where you work with a group of experts on a set of customers with large complex environments where downtime is not an option. Of course, you'll also work with the other customer teams and Sentians beyond.

What do we expect from our Azure Solution Architect?

What will you need

  • In depth Linux and Azure experience
  • Knowledge of containers and clusters, aka Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as a code and other deployment methodologies.
  • Experience with assisting large customers with regard to Azure transformations.

Onboarding

Starting to work at Sentia, you will be assigned a buddy. Your buddy is a colleague who familiarizes you with your team, the systems, culture and way of working. You will also be introduced to the clients.

During the initial period, you will mostly be busy learning how we work. You will need to understand our standard of IaC coding, our deployment mechanisms and our operational processes. You will also work on preparing a number of releases, to learn our way of working, hands-on. Following that, you’ll also get to know all the customer systems, while participating in support and projects. In this way, you learn immediately about the environments used by your customers.

Luckily, we work with a clear process at Sentia and everything is clearly documented. You can also approach your colleagues with any questions you may have.
