Our team is seeking a colleague who is passionate about technologies and does not take comfort only in one of them. Some of the technologies we support:
• Both Windows Server and Linux systems
• Web servers & load balancers: IIS, Apache, Nginx, HAProxy, Netscaler
• Databases: MS SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle
• Active Directory
• Public Cloud technologies: Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
• Docker, Kubernetes
• Elasticsearch, FluentD
At Sentia we set up and maintain our client environments while striving for zero downtime. We do this by taking ownership and automating and virtualizing as much as possible.
As with the rest of the team, you will ensure that management is proactive and that customers' technical requests are handled optimally. Of course, you will make smart use of automation wherever possible. Analyzing different incidents/problems fall under your remit, but that’s something you like sinking your teeth into. You do this by yourself or together with colleagues. At the same time, you do everything in your power to prevent incidents by identifying potential problems and monitoring all environments.
What do we offer?
It’s important to us that you can develop yourself to the fullest at Sentia and we will do everything we can to provide that opportunity. You will find yourself working in a pleasant environment, alongside driven colleagues. In addition, you can expect the following:
When are you a good fit for the job?
- You will have around 2 years of experience in a similar position
- You are experienced at supporting both Windows and Linux environments
- Have an analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Very good written and spoken English
- It goes without saying that it’s part of your mindset to work on a flexible shift schedule
- You have knowledge and experience of tools such as Git, applications like Apache/Nginx/HAproxy, and VMware virtualisation
- You have an affinity with networking
- Knowledge and experience with public cloud technologies (AWS & Azure) would be considered a plus
- Experience with NewRelic & NRQL would be a plus

What can you expect after pushing the apply button? We follow some steps. They can differ from time to time due covid or other circumstances. But in general you can follow this guideline to become a true Sentian as soon as possible. We're looking forward to it!
On your first day at work in Sentia Services, we will provide you with detailed information about the company, history, vision, teams, leading principles, and processes. Health & Safety at the workplace is also an important part of the onboarding process. After going through this you will start with on the job training. If we identify any knowledge gaps during the interviewing process we have all the training needed to fill them. We expect to go through this process within the first 3 months. Overall, until the 6th month, team members are expected to get familiar with the tasks, different tools, and the SLAs. Following that, you’ll also get to know all the customer systems, while participating in support and projects. In this way, you learn immediately about the environments used by your customers.
Luckily, we work with processes at Sentia Services and some of them are clearly documented. This gives the freedom to the team members to actively contribute to craft and improve them. You can also approach your colleagues with any questions you may have.
Your individual development is of central importance to us, and we consider it imperative that this opportunity is put to use within Sentia Services. This is why we have a well developed and applied performance management system that will provide additional learning opportunities. And last but not least, after the 6th month, you will be encouraged to get certified in public cloud technologies.

We have realistic views of our skills and always look for ways to improve.
We accept mistakes, but we strive for zero repeats.
We communicate clearly, concisely and often.
We share our thoughts and concerns immediately with honesty.
We don’t make assumptions, we rather ask that extra question.
We don’t rely on emails alone for perfect communication
We focus on listening rather than responding.
We take the approach that everything is a hypothesis and we could be wrong.
Internally we also listen. If you have an idea or a problem; we are here for you.
We understand first before we try to be understood
We do what we say and say what we do (and don’t do).
We take ownership, always willing to go the extra (s)mile.

We strive to exceed expectations (of customers, team members, partners).
We don’t speak negatively about colleagues or customers.
