Projectlead

We have an exciting opportunity for a Projectlead to join our MS Azure focused operations team of highly skilled engineering team. As the team works through agile scrum principles the role will not be traditional Project Management.

Your key role will be gathering requirements, creating stories, preparing, prioritizing the backlog and discuss and plan sprints with the team. During the sprints you are managing time, scope and quality related to customers objectives. Besides working with the team on daily basis you engage with other stakeholders and customers removing impediments and radiate the needed information.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the team backlog together with the team manager and service manager.
  • Discuss and plan the backlog together with the team.
  • Lead and coach the team and drive successful delivery time, scope, quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Actively participate in assisting the team resolving issues and escalate as needed.
  • Drive improvement and change processes within the team.

The Team

You will be a member of a highly skilled Azure engineering team consisting of multiple nationalities. Our customers mainly transform their business towards Azure Cloud where possible. Together with the Teammanager, Service manager and the engineers you manage the daily operations of customer environments and you continuously support customer (DevOps) teams in continuous transition and transformation to Azure Cloud as a team.

Besides the Azure team as a main focus you are working closely with peers from other teams to share knowledge, processes and best practices. Supporting other teams or managing the occasional bigger project on case by case basis will also be part of the job.

What do we expect from our ProjectLead

What will you need

  • 2+ years of IT Project Management / Product Owner.
  • Experience with scrum/agile
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; Organizational skills and problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to drive planning and execution process and add value beyond just a task oriented doer or project manager 
  • Familiarity with tooling similar to Jira and Service Now
  • Ability to function in a fast moving and rapidly evolving environment
  • Bachelor’s Level

We get extra excited about;

  • Basic+ knowledge of MS Azure environments 
  • This role can be as highly skilled and experienced as you will bring yourself, as such, you’ll be expected to take on additional responsibilities beyond the scope of their immediate job. These will be agreed on an individual basis.

Onboarding

Starting to work at Sentia, you will be assigned a buddy. Your buddy is a colleague who familiarizes you with your team, the systems, culture and way of working. You will also be introduced to the clients.

During the initial period, you will mostly be busy learning how we work. You will need to understand our standard of IaC coding, our deployment mechanisms and our operational processes. You will also work on preparing a number of releases, to learn our way of working, hands-on. Following that, you’ll also get to know all the customer systems, while participating in support and projects. In this way, you learn immediately about the environments used by your customers.

Luckily, we work with a clear process at Sentia and everything is clearly documented. You can also approach your colleagues with any questions you may have.
